Olivia Barthe is a jewellery designer and sculptural artist whose creative universe emerges from craftsmanship and the intimate dialogue between her hands, her tools, and metal. From her studio nestled in the heart of nature near Girona, she shapes pieces that inhabit the space between jewellery and sculpture, exploring form, the moving body, and a deep connection with material.

“For the past ten years, my life as a jewellery designer equalled my life as a citizen; one informs and shapes the other daily. My constant exploration in form finding has always been reflected in adventurous life experiences, to the point that I’m not clear what triggers my creative process: a wild imagination or an intense life. I like to think it’s both.”

Her practice is rooted in spontaneity and in the freedom to create at her own rhythm, allowing form to arise from an intuitive and experimental process. Along this creative path, Olivia draws inspiration from other disciplines —sculpture, fashion, painting, and experimental dance— which expand her visual language and enrich the sense of gesture and movement present in her work.

“I have always been a life enthusiast, living every moment to its fullest. My jewels are the result of endless conversations with friends and random encounters with strangers. My mind constantly feeds from life itself, and my pieces are a direct reflection of that.”
