Every Olivia Barthe piece is crafted by hand, which means no two creations are ever identical. Because of their artisanal nature, we recommend caring for them thoughtfully to preserve their beauty over time.
Our jewellery is made from recycled 925 sterling silver.
Gold-toned pieces are finished with a 3-micron 18K gold plating, and silver toned pieces include an additional silver plating for extra brightness.
Our candles are poured using 100% natural wax, organic pigments, and cotton wicks.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS/
Gold plating will naturally soften over time. Its longevity depends on how each piece is handled. To help your jewellery maintain its original shine, avoid:
Keep your pieces away from moisture and chemicals. This includes water of any kind (fresh, salty, or chlorinated), as well as skincare, hair products, perfume, makeup, soaps, oils, tanning products, and household cleaners. These substances can dull or damage the plating over time.
Remove your jewellery before exercising. Sweat is natural but surprisingly reactive, and can cause plated surfaces to fade more quickly.
Avoid wearing jewellery in water. Please take off your pieces before swimming, showering, or washing your hands to preserve their finish.
Store your jewellery with care. To avoid scratching or friction, keep each piece separated in its pouch or box, rather than allowing them to touch.
Our candles are made from 100% natural wax, which may develop a soft white bloom over time — a normal characteristic of pure, untreated wax.
If this occurs, simply buff the surface gently with a soft cloth, or apply a touch of warm air from a hairdryer to restore the candle’s original tone.
We also offer a replating service for jewellery in need of refreshing.
